“Use of swimming pool was complimentary and nice”

“The room was clean and tidy, staff were pleasant and helpful. The food in the restaurant was good and varied. The only drawback for us was the lack of a cooked breakfast. I didn't like the continental offering, There was however a fridge in the room. We took our dog with us for which we paid 35 pounds there was nothing provided for the dog”

Because the hotel was closed for refurbishment - and EXPEDIA failed to notify us prior to travelling - and also EXPEDIA refused to share our phone number with the hotel so they were unable to inform us in advance of our arrival - fortunately the hotel staff were able to assist us in gettinga ccomodation nearby. “My room was on the ground floor right next to the entrance and a lounge which I think was for the staff. It was very noisy! The tv was on and someone was talking loudly on their phone - I needed an early night as I wasn’t feeling well. That didn’t happen. As a woman travelling alone I was not comfortable with a ground floor room close to the entrance - I would have liked to open the window, but did not feel secure enough. The room was very nice and there was a good breakfast selection. I’m not……
